Lifestyle Newborn Session by Kayla Kohn

Oh Matt and Kimber, dear friends of our family. I just loved heading over to their house for the first time and getting to photograph their new little guy for a lifestyle newborn session.

One thing I loved about Kimber’s session is how relaxed she was.

She didn’t give off any vibe of ‘oh man I’m being photographed in my own home and this is not normal.’
Which is totally right, having someone come photograph you in your home is totally not normal. I mean it’s cool, but not a usual thing. But really getting to capture you in your surroundings as you welcome your little one is a once in A LIFE TIME thing. I really think so. Never again will your baby be a newborn. So it’s just such a great thing to make a commitment to capture it when they finally come.

But Kimber made it look and feel easy and I hope I helped with that by making the session flow smoothly and capturing them just as they were in his room.
