Kate, Jason and their two little ones live in the cutest little home near the Plaza in Kansas City, Mo. I have never photographed an in-home session that far north so it was a fun change of scenery. The remodel they just did on the bottom floor had a lot of natural reflective light and made a perfect backdrop.
Baby Brooks was so comfy and cozy in both mom and dad’s arms the whole session that we were able to move around a lot and keep things going. Big sister had just woken up from a nap shortly after we started and I was able to get all the baby details and photos with mom and dad before she even joined us. So we captured some of her and little Brooks near the end. I did all my favorite moves to make her laugh and she also got a little taste of how horrible I am at singing Moana songs.
